Izzy Gorman’s Debut EP: A Dreamy Dive into the Heart of a Romantic Rebel

Izzy Gorman—aka IzzyG—is an artist whose debut EP, featuring ‘Bedroom Drawer’, ‘Rome’, and ‘Westbourne Grove’, offers a lush, cinematic experience. Each track paints a vivid picture of a young, romantic dreamer with a wild heart. Born in Gateshead and now based in West London, Izzy’s journey from busking in Newcastle to releasing this EP is anything but conventional.

Her vocals, deeply influenced by jazz, blues, and soul legends like Amy Winehouse and Etta James, are matched by a blend of modern sounds—from house beats to R&B rhythms—that reflect her experimental approach to music.

‘Bedroom Drawer’

The opening track ‘Bedroom Drawer’ is a sultry blend of bluesy vocals and acoustic rhythms. The song delves into love’s intimacy, with Izzy capturing vulnerability and desire in a seductive, reflective way.

‘Rome’

‘Rome’ brings a sense of wanderlust, evoking the thrill of escaping to a romantic city. With its lush, cinematic vibe, the track embodies the excitement of new adventures—while IzzyG pours her heart out about a lost lover.

‘Westbourne Grove’

Closing the EP is ‘Westbourne Grove’, a track that combines introspection with James Bond theme song energy. With modern pop and jazzy elements, the song reflects Izzy’s journey toward the self-realization of hope.

Not only has she released this three-song beauty, on the 4th of March she shared the music video for "Bedroom Drawer" with us and it's cinematic to say the least. Emotion-filled, up close and personal, IzzyG searches the depths of her heart to translate this ballad into aesthetically pleasing and hazy visuals. IzzyG proves time and again that she is the modern-nostalgia we have been craving.

Izzy Gorman: A Star in the Making

Izzy’s journey from street performer to rising star shows in every note. Drawing from influences like Amy Winehouse and 1960s seductresses, she creates a unique blend of sounds. Now studying at ICMP in Kilburn, Izzy continues to refine her craft, balancing her creative pursuits with her job at SohoHouse, where she connects with other creative minds.

Izzy Gorman is just getting started, and if this debut is anything to go by, we’re in for a musical journey worth following. Keep an eye on this rising star—she’s only beginning to steal hearts.
