Goldie Scott is here, and she’s making waves. Fresh off the release of her debut EP "Blind Eye" and her latest single "Gone For Good," this rising star is already proving that some voices are just impossible to ignore. With a sound that blends soulful vocals with raw, emotive storytelling, Goldie is carving out a space in the music industry where vintage grit meets modern edge. If you haven’t yet heard her music, prepare to be captivated by her powerhouse voice and undeniable presence.

"Blind Eye" EP: A Genre-Bending Masterpiece

Goldie Scott’s "Blind Eye" EP is the perfect introduction to her genre-blurring style. Raised in New Jersey in a family of musicians, Goldie’s musical roots run deep. Whether you’re listening to her soulful ballads or the folk-inspired melodies that pepper the EP, one thing is clear—Goldie is an artist who knows how to captivate an audience. Her sound effortlessly fuses soul, pop, and folk into a cohesive body of work that feels both timeless and modern. Every track tells a story, and it’s easy to get lost in her emotive delivery.

“Gone For Good”

Co-produced and co-written by three-time Grammy nominee Andriu Yanovski, “Gone For Good” features an all-star lineup of Grammy-nominated musicians from The Rumble, New Orleans’ elite music collective. The track brings together Ari Teitel, a multi-Grammy-nominated guitarist; Aurélien Barnes, a multi-Grammy-nominated trumpet player; José Maize, a multi-Grammy-nominated trombone player; and Alvin Ford Jr., a renowned drummer who has worked with artists like J. Cole, Jon Batiste, and more. At the heart of it all is Goldie’s father, Ed Weisz, who plays bass on the track. While Ed is a lawyer by profession, his deep musical roots have seen him share the stage with legends like the Marshall Tucker Band and Meat Loaf, and his influence on the track is undeniable.

“Gone For Good” was written five years ago during Goldie’s first days in New Orleans, born out of a time when she was still living with her parents and dreaming of a fresh start. “I wrote this song while still living with my parents, dreaming about skipping town and never looking back,” Goldie recalls. “I created a character who had the courage to do what I had always wanted—to take the road less traveled, chase their dreams, and embrace the purest sense of liberation.” Now, years later, that dream has become a reality. Goldie has left New Jersey behind, built a career on her own terms, and is stepping into the spotlight with a track that pulses with the vibrant energy of New Orleans soul.

From the moment the horns kick in, “Gone For Good” grabs your attention. Goldie’s raw, commanding vocals lead the charge, drawing listeners in with their emotional intensity. The instrumentation is rich and layered, with lush horns and a groove that feels timeless yet fresh. It’s a song that radiates the spirit of freedom, self-discovery, and letting go of the past—making it more than just a single, but a declaration of where Goldie is headed.

With her Grammy-nominated collaborators and an anthem that blends personal history with the heart and soul of New Orleans, Goldie Scott is clearly making her mark. If “Gone For Good” is any indication, this is just the beginning. Goldie Scott isn’t just making music—she’s making history.
